- Sing with this friendly, amateur mixed-voice choir based in Oxford
- Membership open to all aged 18+, only a simple voice test required to join
- Rehearsals in North Oxford, concerts in central Oxford venues
- One of Oxford's leading choirs - forward-looking with high standards
We warmly welcome new members and invite you to come along to some rehearsals to try us out before deciding whether to join. We currently have around 120 singing members, making the choir one of Oxford's largest vocal groups, but each member is important to us and everyone's contribution is valued.
Rehearsals are held on Tuesday evenings: 7.30 to 9.30pm at Oxford High School for Girls, Belbroughton Road (off Banbury Road). We are currently rehearsing for the March 2012 concert (Loewe's Passion Oratorio). Rehearsals for the June 2012 concert (Haydn's Creation) start on 17 April 2012.
There are plenty of opportunities to get to know fellow singers in rehearsal breaks and at choir social events. We also have an active Oxford Harmonic Society page on facebook.
The membership subscription for 2011-2012 is only £99 for the year (£20 for students). Our librarian provides scores to either hire or buy. Individual singing lessons with a professional vocal coach are also available during choir rehearsals for a small additional fee.
