Listen to these works - Passion Oratorio

E-mail Print PDF

Two simple ways to listen to the works being performed in this concert are via the Spotify and YouTube websites. Spotify allows you to select a wide range of recordings and play them in full, completely free. All you need to do is register with them and log on each time you want to use the website. YouTube requires no registration but the recordings are highly variable, usually only cover one section of a larger work at a time and, in many cases, have been recorded live in a concert.

Clicking on the icons below will take you to the Spotify registration page and YouTube home page respectively. The Spotify text includes suggested recordings to search for. Clicking on links in the YouTube text will take you directly to one of the better recordings available on that website. On either website you can search for the works by name without a conductor or soloist to see the full range of recordings available.

Spotify:

There are no recordings of Loewe's Passion Oratorio on Spotify. Recordings of other songs by Loewe can be found by searching for 'Carl Loewe'.

YouTube:

Search for 'Loewe suhnopfer' where you will find a soprano solo section of the work. This is the only section available on YouTube, although there are recordings of other songs by Loewe which can be found by searching for 'Carl Loewe'.
